EFT Supervision can help!
It may feel impossible now, but you can get certified in EFT. You can have clarity on where you are at in the model and where to go. You can have confidence in your EFT skillset. And I can help you get there.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Supervision helps you do 5 things:
I’ll help through this process, tailoring each step to your unique needs and circumstances. My approach to EFT supervision comes from a strengths based approach: believing that you can provide EFT effectively while still having your own personality and style. |
I believe issues of power and privilege are central to EFT supervision and clinical practice. As an LGBTQ+ and BIPOC Ally who is invested in justice and healing, I'm committed to an anti-oppressive practice as well as my own process of growth and discovery around issues of power and privilege.

Supervision Testimonials
Liz was my clinical supervisor at the VA while I completed my fellowship program, and I can't convey how incredibly skilled she is at helping any student/client learn new skills and concepts through the process of active experience. She doesn't talk at you like some teacher-types do. She creates the space for you to discover new things and challenges you to go deeper in a gentle and supportive way. She is completely unique and talented in her style of connecting with someone and supporting them towards change in a truly collaborative and authentic way. I'd highly recommend working with her either for therapy or for clinical consultation and collaboration. I've yet to find another therapist who matches her skill.
- Savannah Hipes, LCSW, Postgraduate Social Work Fellow Worked with Liz for EFT consultation as well as general marriage/family consultation support for my work with couples. Have benefitted greatly from her extensive EFT knowledge base as well as her wealth of resources, tools, and community support services. - Ida Damkilde, LCSW, Individual EFT Supervsion |
Thank you so much! That was a masterful presentation of so many aspects of what great supervision can be. What I saw you doing and what I learned from that is a true highlight from this entire Core Skills program.
- Eric Einhorn, LAMFT, EFT Core Skills Volunteer I joined Liz's first supervision group, and I wouldn't have guessed that it was her first! Liz provided such helpful feedback on our videos, including some nuggets on process and wording that I know I will carry with me. She will offer a compassionate and knowledgeable hand to anyone going through their EFT journey!
- Cassandre Miller, EFT Supervision Group Participant Just have to say this was one of the BEST ethics trainings I have ever attended and I am so happy you are offering it again! - Emma Smith, LPC, Ethics CE Training Participant |

Individual Supervision:
We can meet weekly, bi-weekly, or as needed for 50-minute sessions. I require a minimum of 2 supervision sessions per month to keep a regular time reserved on my schedule for you. I also require a minimum of 8 sessions of viewing your work, along with approval of your submission tapes, in order to write a supervisor letter of recommendation.
A Note on Becoming Certified:
Getting you certified is a primary goal of our work together. At the same time, being ready to submit for certification varies on many factors including how many couples you are working with on a regular basis, their level of distress and commitment to the relationship, and having multiple couples who are willing to video tape in stage 2. Because of this, the length of time it takes to be ready to submit for certification varies and is not necessarily related to skill level in EFT. Focusing on enjoying the journey to certification can help you maintain motivation in the process.
